slide show on 2nd monitor

Hi

I use an acer laptop & want to know how to view a photo slide show through a 2nd monitor, ie the tv, I have enabled the 2 nd monitor and on tv see my screen saver I can also see my karaoke programme on 2 nd monitor, what do I need to do to watch my photos on tv.

All help & suggestions gratefully received

in display settings it should be set up for multiple displays 'extend these displays'. then if it shows up on the laptop ya just drag it with the mouse to the other display.

That's what I thought, I tell laptop extend to 2nd monitor,on settings I move 2nd monitor icon to the left,but all I get on 2nd monitor is my screen saver picture no icons, I am going crazy, what am I missing, I get the photos up on laptop,but they don't want to be dragged any where

i don't know. ya could try this though since its just an idea. go back to display settings. drag the one monitor to the other side and swap. make the other the primary monitor and see if anything changes. worse case that won't work either. maybe someone else will have another idea.
 
One other thought. .... i never used it as a dual monitor. i had a Toshiba and gave to one of the kids. i used to with just the laptop and one monitor turn off the laptop screen and output to the tv 40". used a wireless keyboard and mouse. then turn on the laptop and surf or ran any other program i wanted.
the kids bought me a Asus Eee netbook. haven't tried that out yet. i will. it does have a output video plug. maybe later. but surely this should work.

get it back to one monitor for now. forget the dual now the try the procedure above. it should work.
