Skype cant find Soundcard?

So, for a couple of months ago i bought a cheap mic, because the one in my laptop was pretty bad. Then i think i have somehow "removed" the old soundcard, so i could only talk if i plugged in the mic!
Now i have broken the mic, so it dosen't work anymore! Now i cant talk to my friends over Skype and other things because it says i have no soundcard!
How can i install it again? My Laptop is a Asus K55VM!

I really hope you guys can help me out here! And sorry for the bad english :)
 
This is rather common with Asus Laptops actually. This actually happened to me, once I put in my mic I went onto Teamspeak and disabled all the voice communication devices, therefore they uninstalled off the system. What I did was had to system rollback a few days, I suggest that tbh but there will be different easier ways. So just wait for people to come and help you out.
Does your webcam work though? cause usually it involves both with Asus's.
Also are you running vista?
 
Have you looked in the audio settings, there is a possibility when you plugged in the mic is disabled the onboard mic?
 
But i don't know whichone to download! I have tried the one under Audio, but it hasn't changed anything. Also, im not sure if i have installed it correct, i have just ran the setup.exe and completed the install wizard!
 
I have Realtek HD Audio Manager! But what can i do with that to get the build in mic working again?

Sorry if i am a little stupid :)
 
First of all, in Device manager go to Sound. Click the Recording Tab, click on Microphone, at the bottom click properties. Make sure at the bottom it says Use this device enable.

If i choose the blue one, it says no mic is installed,

But if i take the Red one, this mic is showed.

But it says: "Ikke tilsluttet" Which means "Not Connected".

When i go to Properties,

it says it is Active! But it still dosen't work? :confused:


The language on my PC i Danish, so the pictures might be a little confusing.
