Everything was fine. I had all 3 computers in our home connected wireless to the belkin router including 1 desktop and 2 laptops all wirless. I created the network allowing all computers to use the shared folders together and allow us to print to the laptop conected top the printer downstairs. Now we are all having the same problem. The speed is always changing, the signals are weak and always disconecting, and every few minutes we are promted to dial up or connect or whatever because the computers think they are not connected when they are infact. What could be the problem. As i said fine before creating a network its not the hardware. Thanks for ur time.

I have a Belkin 125 high speed mode F5d7633, i dont know about the firmware but the router is fairly newish.

what make are your wireless adaptors?
is there anything that could be interupting the signal? (cordless phone etc)

try updating the firmware on the router, and try updating the drivers for the wireless adaptors.
it worked for me round my mates, i would get disconnected from his wireless network every...10... seconds, but after i updated the drivers and installed This software, i didnt get a disconnect for over an hour, well worth trying imo.
but do it in this order:
1. Update firmware on Router and test.
2. Update drivers on all wireless adaptors and test.
3. If its still not working try the software :)

and please dont tell me i read the post wrong =/ lol

The problem is on all 3 computers so I think it is the Belkin Router itself. Is there anyway the router is completely confused about sharing 3 computers because i may not have set it up correctly? Thanks mate

that means that you may have conflicting IP addresses... not the pc's IP address, but the network card IP. by default, most network card IP's are set to xxx.xxx.0.1, you can change this however, but it must stay as a network component IP.
to do this, go to network connections in control panel, right click on the network card and click 'properties'
scroll down to 'internet protocol' and click the properties button.
now go to 'use the following IP'
you will need to use a different IP for each, but im not too sure as to the first 6 numbers of a network IP (someone else could post?)

do this on all but one of the computers attatched

Thanks mate, im not too good with all this IP business but i found these on the Belkin router, they are the 3 computers on the network and their different ip addresses.

Just thought now, when i set up the network i didnt touch one thing with the router only the computers involved. The router is ok'd for file sharing but maybe there is something else.

The signal being weak has nothing with your setup, i guess either there is something new blocking the signals (usually high fm frequinces) or someone accessed your 192.168.1.1 and messed with the antenna power settings.

Is it possible your not connected to your router but another one thats close by. I know it's a long shot but i have seen it happen.
