you guys think i should use my onboard 7.1 channel audio from my MSI board(see sig) or should i pull the sound card from my previous machine shown here

ive already played some music and stuff with my onboard and i didnt really notice much of a difference, im using a set of logitech z-640s btw..

on a sidenote i love my new system(see sig) i just got the cpu in today and fired it up, it runs great and very cool considering i have the PSU mounted to where it blows inside the case, MSI's Core Center reports that the ambient case temp is 34c and it idles at about 36c does that sound about right?

ill throw another question in here

yea, those temps are pretty good, i plan on ethier getting a 3000+ 939 64 or a 3200+ , does that 3000+ run smooth? like can u be burning a dvd/cd and surf the web/do other stuff? My xp 2800+ just isnt cuttin it, it trys to freeze up when im burning/encoding dvds and trying to multitask... i dont know that much about those cards to answer your question:( but thanks for the input on the proc;)

actually i havent burned any cds yet with it, but i have a sneaky feeling that it will handle it very well when i do..i accidentally broke my good burner i think...i opened the door manually using a paper clip and then shut it back manually(thought i had a cd in it) and ever since then the door wont open, and i opened it manually using a screwdriver, cause it wouldnt open with the little hole, so i think i effed it up, but ive still got my 40x burner kickin:) my cpu heated up to the low 40s when gaming, but thats not bad at all really all things considered, in a pc with better cooling it would run extremely cool, im using stock cooling and AS5 and i also have a small oven in my case known as a gigabyte x800xl, notorious for running extremely hot, theres no artifacting or anything it just runs hot as hell, mostly because its got a silent cooler on it. but this is somewhat off topic

and another question, i cant get my front panel audio to work, is there anything i have to do to enable it or did i just hook it up wrong? or connections could be loose where its soldered on, my case isnt the greatest and ive messed with it alot.

lol , it just sounds like you might of hooked it up wrong or the connections are bad like you said, i dont think you have to enable it in windows, just check it again and make sure its hooked up rite , mine hooks up rite behind the inputs on the back of the mobo, but im using the intergrated audio as of now, hope it helps:)
