Sharing My Broadband Connection ?

I have connected 2 computers with an RJ45 Cross Over cable. I have set it up correctly and it allows the 2 comps to share files perfectly fine. But how do I get it to allow me to share the internet connection?

Thanks

get a router and two lan cables, and 2 network cards?

or see if internet connection sharing in windows works - i never got it working...

I dont want a router and all that stuff. RJ45 would be suitable if I can connect to the web from secondary computer. I know its possible. How would I go about "internet connection sharing in windows"?

If you have 2 modems, hook them both up each to a seperate computer.
It worked for me and my brother. I'm using cable modem.

i do have 2 modems. I tried that using 2 filters but the 1st filter blocked the second. I then used an adapter and used 1 filter but when 1 comp connects the other disconnects and visa versa. We wanted 2 use both comps at same time.

In network connections, you have to right click your current internet connection and go to bridge connections, where there is an option that allows the internet to be shared :)

Hmm, I'm not sure then. I don't use filters.
I put my phone into seperate phone jacks. You can try without the filters and see if it works for you.
