Shared Monitor for Server

Hi,

My server and 1 workstation are beside each other and I want to only use 1 monitor for the two. What do I need to share the monitor?

You are correct. KVM stands for Keyboard, Video and Mouse... you can use a 2-port KVM switch to connect 2 computers to a single Keyboard, Monitor and Mouse... or a 4-port KVM switch to connect 4 computers... etc...

If you want a cheaper, but a bit slower way out, I just use VNC. It's rather sluggish online, but can actually be pretty good over a lan

Or if one PC is running Windows XP enable remote desktop. Then on the other PC download Terminal server client from microsoft. This is all free and easy way to connect.
