i don't know how to set my virtual memory




At Control Panel | System | Advanced, click Settings in the “Performance” Section. On the Advanced,,,,,,,,,,,


please tell me the exect number of initial size and maximum size,,,
at what number should i set these two sizes ,, please tell me

It's however big you want it to be. I usually make it about 4GB so it would be 4096MB.

Go to My Computer>Properties>Advanced> Performance Settings>Advanced. Then in the virtual memory box choose "change" then select custom size and input 4096 for both boxes. Click the set button, then OK, ok, and ok.

It's a few clicks of the mouse. That is NOT too long. You want long? I can give you another task to perform that'll take you over an hour.

Virtual memory is just what it says it is - virtual memory. Say you only have 256MB of RAM. If you have no paging file (virtual memory) your computer will run dog slow, if at all. Virtual memory acts as an extended memory by taking part of your hard drive space (very tiny part) and using it as RAM. However, virtual memory is not as fast as actual physical RAM is.

P.S. I can't believe I answered this without being rude :rolleyes:
