Set affinity between a program and channel??

Hey there folks, I've got an issue -
I LOVE to listen to music - WMP @ startup - and I have my computer set up to where 2 channels (on my 7.1 onboard) go to my stereo. Other jacks are for input/computer speakers. I'd like to know if there was a way to set certain programs affinity to one port, like, have my WMP on my Rear (as in, channels, not on the front of the case, or headphone) jacks, Team Fortress 2, etc, on my Front?

Hmm...I'm am not aware of a simple way to do this within Windows. I do remember doing something similar years ago with ALSA. I have also done something similar with a multichannel card and audio outboard gear, but that was in a much more complex situation...

You could check out PowerMixer over here. Not quite what you are thinking/hoping, but perhaps with multiple audio cards...?

You could only potentially do this if you had two different audio devices (2 sounds cards basically) and the app allowed you to set which audio device it plays on.
