Server question

Hey guys,
I was wondering, whats a good program that i can use to bassicaly, almost drag and drop files from my network computers into the file server, and have the server automaticaly host them?

i don't want to have to use a monitor with this server, i just want to use it to host the files and thats it.
What can i use for this? Is filezilla good?

what im confused about is like,.
how am i suppose to create a web page, and have a number files on it, when like..geocities and other web site hosting only allows like ...20mb of uploaded material.

Im confused, what i am suppose to do? can anyone help me out a little bit on setting up a file server?
 
What OS is this server running? If it's windows then it's probably be best to install apache web server, and configure that to display all files in the directory your files are in, and Share the folder over the network, if it's linux then do the same thing, but you may need to install samba to share the folder. Also i'd reccomend installing vnc server, and vnc viewer on your PC, just in case you need to log onto it and use it, it will act as a "remote screen"
