Hi,

If I was to change the domain password for the administrator account would it incur any complications? for example, would it effect services? Or anything that was running? Obviously I dont want to change it if its going to cause problems. At the moment I do not think it will be effected but i'd like some expert information as to whether it will be effected in anyway and what do I need to look for...

I have found what I was looking for:

"As soon as you change the password, services will start having problems - not necessarily stopping, but no longer able to access certain things. Upon a reboot, the services won't be able to start.

That said, you should NOT be using the administrator account to run services - these are the kinds of problems you will have.

You should create SEPERATE service accounts that are used for the services."
