I was about to go out and pay $100 for some seinnheiser earbuds for my mp3 until i read this comment on youtube

"Creative solves that problem, the same manufactuer for the earphones supply sennheiser and creative with the same earphones. Sennheiser names it cx300, and sells it for $100, creative names it Ep-630, sells it for $30, Sennheiser names the other Cx400, sells it for $120, creative names it ep-640,sells it for $40. So Why would anyone buy the sennheiser? Go for with the Creative! "

is that true? can anyone confirm that they are the exact same earbuds but with a different label?

I think you'd be stupid to spend any significant money on a set of ear phones anyway.

Regardless of whether your youtube rumor is correct, buy the cheaper ones - they all sound rubbish.

Never used $100+ earphones, have you?. Lemme tell ya, those things DO make a difference - if you're into even remotely professional audio production/composing, spending less than $100 is what would be stupid.

I have owned a pair of $100 sennheisers and they sound great and are well worth the $, i would just like to know if both brands are are the same thing

i can't confirm what your hearing. they could be built competely differently though, using the same speaker driver does =/= same ear phones.

that being said, i doubt it as sennheiser is a respected company in the audio recording world... and creative.... well lets face it no one takes creative seriously at the professional audio level haha
