sending exe files

We all have files that we would like to share, however there are certain files that email programs refuse to send, executable or exe files are an example. To send them just change the name, it is enough to just add one number ect to the end of the file, notify the recipient to remove the added number and that's it.

The issue is you have a max file size attachment for most web based email programs or even isp requirements. Another issue could be the security settings involved as most harmful files are sent as exe files. Changing the file name has nothing to do with it.

On Gmail, it still doesn't work doing this. Just easier to use mediafire or megaupload (cant remember which one was taken down by SOPA. Think it was Megaupload IIRC.)
If you .7zip or .rar I don't believe it can scan the contents, however it will scan .zip files. If it still doesn't work, just put a password on it so it can't scan the contents.

If they haven't fixed it, you can also zip it and change the extension.

To be honest, I think that blocking the sending of EXE's is stupid. If they can make the technology to find the EXE files...why not make it look for certain strings in the code.
