Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm, 500gig sata.

Quiet and fast would make great RAID0 drives too.


BTW ganzey when you get woke up tonight by a phone call followed by heavy breathing...you will know who it is :P

Seagate are awesome...never had one fail on me,even my 6 yr old Seagate in my old ris is still chugging along like its new.

Ive had a western digital 400Gb fail on me,a 1TB Samsung F1 fail....i only realy look at seagates now.

Prolly cause of the 7200.11 incident, lots of drive failures, firmware issues, etc.

Samsung drives from my experience and others are cheap for a reason, read/write/random access arent amazing, and the reliability of the drives leaves something to be desired. Seagate drives are awesome, the 7200.11 incident kinda left them losing market share though, and western digital makes awesome drives as well.
