-Double check if you installed it correctly.
-The sound card may not be compatible with your computer or AGP slot.
-And check if your speakers are plugged in correctly you may have disconnected some by mistake when adding the sound card.

Is the soundcard detected by windows? Try installing the Creative drivers? :) What operating system are you running?

What does the soundcard have to do with the AGP slot?

I'm running XP and I installed it and it is recongized but I don't know if I have to hook up the analog cord b/c when I plugged the analog cord from the sound card into the back of the DVD player the speakers worked.

But isn't there a way to get it to run off the motherboard itself without having to plug the analog cord into the back of the CD-rom drive?

Also my computer is 1 year old but it's a pci slot not agp for the sound card.

I'm getting a new mother board the ASUS A7N8X-X

Sound cards DO NOT COME AS AGP. :)

I know that it's PCI but some guy asked me if it were AGP.

That's not the problem though, the problem is I cannot get it to work properly.

Can you help?
