Satellite C655D-S5202 Amd C-50 1.00 ghz

Hi guys; I was given this Laptop Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5202 Amd C-50 1.00 ghz 2Gb ram expendable to 4gb,
it has the screen display busted, someone let it fall on the floor and the keyboard doesn't work either, but i can make it work by connecting an external display an connect the keyboard to the usb as so the mouse, it has win7 and runns fair good,
my question how does a processor this low 1.00ghz can run better than my old p4 2.8ghz processor,
and is this worth it to get the the display and the keyboard?

New screen will be around $60, keyboard probably around $25 or so. However, its possible that the cable for keyboard is loose and needs to be reattached to the motherboard connector. You have a dual core 1ghz processor and possibly and a starter version of windows designed to run better on cheap hardware.

Thanks jhonb35; it has win 7 home premium.Hum spend 85 bucks!,i've disconnected the display from the motherboard and use it with the existing tv monitor connected to vga since my Intel I5 is connected to HDMI and use it to watch sports streaming and use it for HD slingbox in Win7since my main OS is Linux and wont install Slingmedia player.
