sata HDD's

i'll take the no-warranty 500 gb one. by "shipped" you mean you'll ship it right? either way that is a good deal.

Minnesota. that is fine if you wait. i don't necessarily need one but i love a good deal when i see one so i will definitely take the warranty-less one off of your hands.

OK thanks for your patience.

I will also have one of my super talent 32gb SSD's up for sale soon, as I traded one of mine as a partial trade toward a 64gb OCZ vertex....of which I have another in my laptop now. So I will be putting the two vertex's in my main rig, one of the 32gb super talents in my laptop, trading one, so I have one left over for sale. It's an ultradrive, not the slower masterdrive. They are very very fast, and make an awesome boot drive or laptop drive. With 3 in raid 0 I pull 607mb/s read and 444mb/s write speeds! It will be available in about 2-3 days, as soon as I get the OCZ in the mail. Looking for $90 shipped....as long as you don't mind the delay in shipping. These are almost identical to an OCZ vertex.
Here's a newegg link to the exact model-

I am interested in both the 500gb's. but cant pay until friday next week. Doubt you will be willing to wait that long.

Eh, sorry can't do that now that I said I'd give it 24 hours to try to sell both. So if not in 20.5 hours (LOL) they get seperated.

Those hard drives will work in a desktop pc? How much for both 500 gig's and the SSD? What could I possibly use the SSD for, as a 15 year old how could I get you the money?

Do you have a bank account? You could sign up for paypal. Or send a USPS money order.

You can use the SSD as a boot drive, to load the OS onto and use 2x500gb drives in raid 0 for a fast 1tb worth of storage. You have to be careful though because the SSD will be the C: drive, which everything you download and programs you install will default to the C: drive...so you don't want to fill up the boot drive with programs and junk you have to download and install everything on the other drive (whatever letter you assign it, maybe D: )

What would having the SSD as a boot drive do? Also, I never understood the point of raid, I'm currently running a 1tb standalone hd would this also benefit that.

The SSD makes everything very fast! Boot up time is faster, opening programs is faster, random writes are faster...etc.

There's several different raid array's, but the most popular is raid 0. Raid 0 takes two hard drives, and makes them seem like 1 drive. So two 500gb drives will be read as a single 1tb drive. The extra benefit of raid 0 is speed. On spinning hard drives, raid usually gives about 1/2 again the performance of a single drive. It doesn't double, but like I said about 1.5 times the performance of a single. You can also raid more than 2 drives as well. I have a friend that has four 500gb drives in raid 0 forming a 2tb drive. The downfall of raid 0 is if 1 drive fails you lose ALL information on both discs nothing is recoverable.

So I could put multiple OS's on the SSD, then have the two 500 gb's in raid 0 which make's the HDD's seem like 1 hard drive, their wouldn't be a need for like 1 drive be D: and the other be E: so I would run the SSD as C: for my OS the two 500 gb's as D: for my games/random applications and my 1TB for music/movies as my E: ? Also, would all of those HDD's fit into my bays on my Antec 900 case, and how would I power each of these HDD's. I'm seriously interested in this. Also, is this easy to setup/install?

Looks like you on well on your way to figuring things out, everything you said is correct.

Well you just need 4 bays, which I think the 900 has 6 bays IIRC so you're covered.

What motherboard do you have? And what power supply do you have?
