Safe Windows 7 Themes and Installation

So I'm thinking about changing up my desktop. I'm looking for something sleek and overall minimal. I'd like to keep my current icons, since I doubt I'll be able to reskin all of them.

So do you guys know of anywhere? Or have any recommendations?

Also, how do I install them? I googled the obvious question, but came back with some sketchy sites offering to do it automatically, and some text guides that got a little confusing.

I use the "NEXUS" theme http://www.winstep.net/products.asp
Simple, clean and uses the standard icons, can also tick to remove the taskbar if desired. Free download only alters the desktop though.

Halo reach theme if you like halo. nothing special though.
