Run dll

New Member
When starting up my computer I receive the following Pop up box that says: RUN DLL ERROR Loading c:users\ my user namer \Temp\pmn LEWorm.dii
The specified Module could not be found.

Is this good or bad.
Thanks

That looks like a virus. these errors occur when your antivirus deletes a virus, but the virus set itself to run when windows starts. because the file is no longer there, you get this error.

Still

Thanks I appreciate it. Purchased the Quad cleaner and still appears. Think it's time to drop her off at the Geek Squad.
Thanks

It'd be my guess that John does much higher quality work then GS. If you don't mind following a few instructions and taking some time out of your day, you'd have a cleaner system and the money still in your hands.

Nothing needs to be purchased to fix your issue, and if you want to waste your money at the Geek Squad, go ahead.

I really messed up now

John

I wasn't trying to insult you. I'm just computer illiterate and know little about computers problems. I must of read your directions quickly I realized after the fact you wanted me to post the log results which I didn't do. I did do the steps you recommended however, I may have done something wrong. After downloading Malwarebytes and quairantined the 5 things they said were causing my problems the bottom fell out. My computer rebooted and now it will not open up any of my programs such as anti virus software, windows defender or acknowledge that I have a Sprint card inserted. It will not even allow me to open up my help and support tab.

I know you said something about having to do a msconfig. I'm not sure if I did it correctly but I started in safe mode with commands and typed in msconfig. It asked me if I wanted to repair my computer on restart. I checked yes and still I cant use any programs and it takes about 10 for my computer to even start up.

I was unable to open up Malwarebytes since my new problem came up. I have downloaded it from another compter and am now doing a scan again. I will post the results.

Thanks
Ken

Can you paste the log that deleted the 5 items? Open malwarebytes(if it will open) and click on logs tab and open the log that deleted the 5 items, copy and paste the log back here.

Then click on fix checked at the bottom.

I'm looking at all your malwarebytes logs and your are using very old databases. Can you update malwarebytes or possibly download it from a different computer and put it on a usb flash drive and then install it on yours? The supplied database should be newer then the one you are using.

As far as you not able to get online. You can download lspfix from here and run it to see if it can fix your broken chain.

Then again, it might be easier for you to back up any data you need saved and do a fresh install of the operating system. Looks like your computer is really a mess right now.

John
Thanks for the advice. I checked all 3 and when I down loaded it I thought it was the newest one. Problem is still there. I do get a pop up window when I reboot that says Failed to connect to a window serive. windows could not conect to a Sysytem Event Notification Service. This problem prevents limited users from logging on the system . I will try again. I was able to back everything up on disk thinking its time to go computer shopping soon. I dont have a restore disk with my comptuer. Can I purchase it online?

Thanks
ken

You can order recovery cd's for it. Look up the specific model of computer you have at www.hp.com and on the drivers page will be an option to order recovery cd's for it. You will need the serial number of the computer.

Thanks

Thanks a million John I really do appreciate all your help. I think I will 1st pick up another computer and then fix the messed up one up for my kids.
