Ok what it is, is that my router a linksys well when im online. Msn and other chat programs just log off, and when im in a game like day of defeat source, when im just walking or firing at someone, it will frezze for about 3-5 second and it does this alot and is very annoying does anyone know what to do.

this problem is very broad, can't assume it is your router yet. I would make sure your system is clean spyware/malware/virus wise first, then start doing some optimizations to it, like disabling un needed items from running in the background.
Make sure you have all the patches and newest drivers, etc.
If all else fails, reinstall the applications, reinstall the OS, replace hardware if you can't narrow it down specifically. If you can borrow a router from someone switch them out for a few minutes or a day and test it.
