Router for home.

My parents use laptops wirelessly, I use a desktop wired.
Its been laggy for the past couple days.
On the internet, in computer gaming, in xbox live gaming, ext.

We use SBC/ATT. We have the best 2wire router. And were using HomeZone, which a wireless adapter is connected to are router, for the reason of downloading movies off of the homezone network, like pay per view.

I want to know, is there a better wired and wireless router, that connects to everything were using. But preforms better.

Is it always laggy, or just occasionally? I have a similar problem when my mom sends her emails with lots of photos, my ping will jump up to 300ms or so, and I usually get kicked from servers.

I bought a Linksys WRT54G wireless router, which lets you set a computer to have the highest priority, and allow games and other apps to be top priority (via ports). This doesnt work wonders, but it usually keeps my ping at an acceptable level for a few minutes until she is done with sending her files, I would recommend this router. It only cost about $50 after instant savings.
