Router firewall question

I'm going through the options on my wireless router, Linksys WRT54G, and I was curious about the firewall option. It says SPI Firewall, Enable or Disable. Now, is this the actual router firewall? I ask because I am having problems downloading stuff through Clubbox, which is a Korean p2p program, to get my Korea dramas and tv shows. I opened the ports and still the same problem. I use ZA firewall, so if I disable this one, will it affect my security?

Another question, is opening all of the ports a bad thing?

first enable the routers firewall then try disabiling za and see if that works if it does then u have to set up za to allow your p2p program accsess to the net ive had similar problems running za blocking some programs i turned it off and it worked fine
