Router Disconnecting

I had a Dynamode R-ADSL-C4W-G for Xmas.

***This model***

I have two desktop PCs that connect to this router via a LAN cable. I can connect to the Internet on both these computers, however certain sites/downloads do not work, for example;

I can not download ANY Nvidia drivers (the mirrors on the site don’t work either)
And I can not click on the "Support" and "Download" links on ASUS website

Also the connection just stops sometimes (not too often) and I have to turn the router off then back on to get it to work.

This is the first router I have had so I am a bit of a noob.

Oh and btw my ISP is Wanadoo

Any help would be nice, TY:)

happened to me before hehehe try updating your firmware =], no idea if this will change any difference but it did on mine

Thanks for the reply :D

I have looked at upgrading the firmware but....

On the Dynamode web site they have 2 sets of firmware under the same model as mine.... The one is for the white version of the router (not mine)

The second is for the black version which is mine **B U T** it says;

"Firmware Upgrade (Black Router) NOT FOR ANNEX A - CHECK LABEL ON BOTTOM OF ROUTER NOTE Flashing Annex A router with this firmware will cause the router to PERMANENTLY fail"

Mine has a sticker on the bottom saying "ANNEX A" (what ever that is)

So it can’t work on mine.... right? But that’s the only 2 downloads on the site for my model router :confused:

HERE is the page if you want a look

check your firewall settings. If you experience drop outs and poor connection on certin sites its possible that either you have a firewall that is stopping the connetion or the port that the site uses is blocked. check windows firewall or log into your router and open the ports

Thanks for the replys :)

I have bullguard firewall/antivirus and I am 100% sure that is not blocking it, the router has a built in firewall but I don’t think its that, but I ll have another look when I get home :)

I am also going to Email Dynamode asking them what firmware I have to get, because the ones on that site are not for mine :(

I am at college at the min so i ll try messing about with the routers firewall when i get home, i ll post and tell you how it goes :)
