router dead

i have a Linksys RT41-BU wired 4 port router. for the past 6 months every thing has been fine. then it stopped working the other day. i cannot think of anything i did to make it not work. all i was doing was surfing and some UT online. 1. i tried rebooting the router from admin login. 2. reboot modem and router 3. reset router and reboot modem. 4. firmware update 5. install wizard on cd. all 5 of those things did not make it work. going striat to modem works so i know its not the ISP. is this thing dead or what? i can ping computers inside my network but nothing out side of it.

did you check the cable from the modem to the router? check each port for dust or something. sometimes the simplest things can make everything go crazy. reset your router to default again see what happens
