I've noticed that a lot people want to know about a certain product and whether it is good or not. It would be cool if there was a Review Forum here where we can only post up reviews of products and give feedback on them. What do you guys think?
 
I voted Yes
1. The techzine blog will be discontinued, when the forum is upgraded to version 4.0, I have purchased a version which will incorporate a blog section, which will be user generated. This will be better as everything will be maintained on the one site, there will not be any seperate accounts, etc involved. This will also have the ability for members to review hardware, games, etc. This will be happening in the not too distant future.
2. There will also eventually be a third area for more in depth reviews, but that will not be happening as soon, there is no timeframe for when that will be implemented, but it will eventually be introduced.

No, timeframe for version 4, it has been released by vbulletin.com
I will be first trialling/implementing it on another forum webdesignforum.com before I implement it here. And I have some personal stuff to do which might delay it a bit. But it should not be very long.
 
Awesome! Glad to see some changes arising. Hopefully this brings in more members and draws the community closer. :)
 
i don't know about this one.

please make sure you come up with a standardized review format.
that way we don't get one sentence, 'it's great' or 'this sucks', kind of posts. you know, have both pros and cons, not just fan-boyish reviews.

also, will just anybody be allowed to post reviews? how about limiting it to members with over a certain amount of posts, like the for sale forum? that way we don't get spammers and peddlers.
