Remote desktop help!

i want to access to my pc at work from home and save the files for my home pc so that i can work on it.

I can remote desktop to it but don't know how to save files to my home pc

any ideas ??

When you're doing remote desktop, save it like u would if you were actually sitting in front of it.

To do this though, you have to make sure that before you connect to your computer, you click "Options", go to "Local Resources" tab, and check Disk Drives. Then you can connect and save your files.
 
If your going to try and RDP into your machine at work, you’re going to have to ask your IT staff if they would forward a specific or the default port for RDP on the router to your machine. You would also need them to tell you the WAN IP address of the network, hopefully it's a static IP or they would have to setup some DDNS service with DynDNS or another equivalent. You don't have to use the default port, 3389, but you can use other ports simply by specifying that in the computer field. i.e. 1.1.1.1:3388 etc.
