Registry errors?

As pertaining to what? Hopefully you haven't ran one of those supposedly registry cleaners, have you?

An error in the registry. The registry is
a database that holds configuration settings used by the Windows operating system. The registry is vital to a PC's ability to run correctly—it stores key data that Windows requires and continually references, such as user profiles and settings for installed software and hardware.

Registry errors can be links to missing files, incorrect parameter settings, etc. I like to use Piriform CCleaner to scan and repair registry issues.

Why do you ask - do you have an error? "Googling " the error number can reveal a lot about what the particular problem is.

no i dont have a registry error. can you fix a registry error yourself? and not have to download software

Yes. Start-->Run-->type 'regedit' allows you view and edit the registry. But don't go fooling around in there without knowing exactly what you're doing. You can very easily render your OS unbootable - I know from experience. ;)

im getting linux on my 250 gb HD so i can mess around with it. program and delete files and see what happens.:)

I prefer Slackware. But be ready - Linux can be a major pain in the ass if you don't know what you're doing... and even then, it can still be a pain in the ass... I don't recommend it unless you're planning on running a server or if you just want to learn.
