Regarding IPs

How would you find out someone's IP address? For example with Netsend you need the persons IP to send them a message. Is there a program that you can find out the computers IP?

Control pannel > Network Connections > rightclick on whatever connection you're using and go to proporties > Find TCP/IP settings and there you go. Of course, most computers now get their IP's dynamically, so you'd have to be sure you're within the same range.

To check your IP, probably the quickest way is to simply go to start > run > type cmd > then at the command prompt, type ipconfig

Thanks for the help. That can help with another problem, but I meant other computers, ones you don't have direct access to, it is possible?

Tell the person on the other workstation to go to the website: http://www.whatismyip.com ? Although I'm not sure that, if on a huge network, it gives the IP address of the computer on the network or the actual Internet IP address for that segment.

Do you want to know a persons internal ip or external ip address? Do you want to find there ip address with the consent or not?
