Recommend me some 2.1 speakers.

I need some new speakers as my current 2.1's are dying/faulty/crappy by design. I'm looking to spend as little as possible and have an upgrade.

My current set are Logitech LS21. I'm looking for something with clearer sounds and more bass for those really low sounds, but again spending as little as possible...

Gunna buy some from PCCG or maybe Jaycar as my dad works there as manager and gets staff prices on anything he wants. If they have it at jaycar electronics, take about 50% off the price ;)
 
I have experience with using Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers, the plus point of a speaker, it include two 35-watt satellite speakers and a hefty sub woofer that blasts up to 130 watts of bass output via a side-firing 6.5-inch-long throw driver.
 
linkin sometimes form comes before function, and they have a limited lifetime warranty, id look for em, warranty > price for me
 
Is this for games or music? Most cheap 2.1 systems lack mid range power. They have a boomy subwoofer and tiny satellite speakers.
 
Lifetime warranty means nothing for a cheap set...i agree with the post by tossy, the klipsch promedia 2.1 is probably the best set of "media" speakers for a computer without getting into a receiver+bookshelves.

As far as logitech...i would recommend against them, only reason i got a set of z-5500's is because they were quite discounted at the time...still not sure they were really worth it though.
 
My current set is also logitech and its crap. control pods for volume/bass with a headphone input are nothing but trouble!
