I have a Compaq Presario SR5130NX that is about 6 years old that I've been doing some upgrades on. Threw in a new power supply, nice ATI video card, and a Samsung 1TB hard drive. When I put the new hard drive in, I also installed a copy of Windows 7 (upgraded from Vista). Everything works great except for the sound. My speakers get plugged into the headphone or audio out jack and the jack is not working. I've tried installing a few drivers for the sound card but they all seem to be Vista specific! The drivers I looked at are from the Compaq driver download site. Any idea what could be going on? Do I need a new sound card?
