as strangelhold said, you need microsoft uaa. just google it. you can get it from most motherboard manufacturers that have realtek sound, or you can download it directly from microsoft. after you install that, you should be good to go. you may have to install your sound drivers again, but probably not

i did install that and it seems that it installed, but when i go to my sound device, it says i dont have one?

try uninstalling the sound driver and uaa if you can find it. reboot, then install uaa first, reboot, and see if it detects your sound card. it really sounds like your conflict is with uaa, i have seen this exact problem a few times before

see ive downloaded the uaa, and when i go to revo unistaller it says that i have realtek high definition audio driver but nothing is happening?

Is it even worth all this trouble because i have an x-fi extreme fidelity gamer, but that doesnt seem like its working properly so i wanted to try installing this. the x-fi when i put it in stereo surround it sends loud signals to the center speaker and the back 2 speakers but my front left and right are really quite. I dont know why thats happening either. It also wont let me turn up my bass or treble all the way up cause then it sounds scratchy and blown. What to do?!?!
