i bought a new processor and a motherboard ..I have a problem installing Realtek High Definition Audio drivers.

When installing the driver from motherboard CD that was provided with it,
the ethernet and video devices can be installed and they function properly..

the audio driver installation stops after 80% completion with an error message:
Install Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure !!

When I look at the device manager, it says that the audio device is not installed

I'm using an INTEL DG31PR motherboard and intel E 7400 processor..
. Also using WinXP Pro...

I tried to reinstall it again but still the installation has'nt succeded...

i tried to reinstall again after rebooting..and it again shows the same error..
i also downloaded latest driver from intel site..i shows the same error...

could there be problem with the hardware ,so i could replace it..

Boot into the BIOS, look through the various pages, and you should see a setting saying something along the lines of "On-board audio" with Disabled or Enabled next to it. If it says Disabled, enable it and reboot.
