Really wierd issue with my sound card

Greetings Computer-Forum
i have a problem with the computer that im working on,
i've been searching through Google and was trying to read every forum i could find that related to it but with no luck =//
*my problem goes like that:
i have no sound on my computer!
what i did?
1. i went to Start->Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices, when i double click on that icon that are 2 options there which is "mute" and "place volume icon in taskbar" and they are both unclickable!
2. ive been reading an article on google about that somehow the Sound and Audio is related to the Services.msc, so i opened the list and ive been searching for something there (which i cant remember the name right now, but i know that its been missing) and there should be a command to add it + i've noticed "Windows Audio Service" is missing there. i used a script that should add it again but nothing works.
3. i know that my audio drivers are installed + the window is installed properly.

i gave up guys and im asking from you to help me, i think ive been trying everything. the computer im using is at my work and can they block my sound card through the network? (im not sure its even possible, cuz i know it worked fr me till today!!!)

please help and thanks for your support!

What does device manager say? Does it list a sound card and that the driver is installed properly?

here's the deal, the sound card seems to be installed properly, but the Windows Audio was missing from the Services, but i found how to add it manualy (the thing is i had music and its just disapeared for some reason after a reset!)
the command to add it manualy is:
C:\>sc.exe create WindowsAudio binPath= "C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs" DisplayName= "Windows Audio"
[SC] CreateService SUCCESS

the sound card on the computer called : SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio
and it seems to be installed good, after all it worked till the reset happened.

so ive been checking the GPO (maybe something blocked me there) but nothing there:
gpedit.msc->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Terminal Services->Client/Server data redirection
all of the processes there are not configured (check that on a cmputer with sound on it, and they are both the same)

still need help.

You never answered Johns question. Is the driver installed for the device. Go to Device Manger and confirm it's showing up in the list.
