I have a pair of Logitech speakers that came with the Logitech X-530 surround system. I'm not using the 2 back speakers for surround and wish to use them with another computer. I was wondering the cheapest way I could go about doing this? I believe that I would need to power the speakers in some way, and wonder if I need a woofer to do this? I don't mind not having a woofer. a solution would be greatly appreciated! :)

you will need a amplifier to power the speakers. they can handle up to 7.4watts rms each speaker. On your suround sound system, all the speakers get there power and hook to the subwoofer.

1)You could buy another cheap suround sound subwoofer that comes with 2 speakers and replace 2 speakers with your other 2.

2)or you could buy a low power amp and connect you speakers to it, i'd go with option 1 which is cheaper/easier.

3) or if you have a small stereo or small receiver to power the speakers, aslong as they have inputs for a external audio source.
