The pipeline character ( | ), is not always a good idea in a password.

MySQL doesn't like it, for instance (that is, it will accept it when you create your password, but you'll never get get back in).

Apparently, the learning portal at my employer doesn't like it either.

Luckily, it only took me a weekend to figure out.

As a matter of fact, having seen that comic last week, I used that very trick (though not those four words) when making a new password for work.

Still had to do the number/letter substitution as it is a required thing.
