RAM Issue

I have a Core i5 2400 Dell Optiplex 790 PC with 4GB of installed RAM (Hynix 4GB 2Rx8 PC3-12800U). I ordered another RAM, and you will find its image below. The problem is that both RAM sticks work separately, but when installed together, the PC doesn't turn on, nor does it beep.

I have used AI for translation.

It's going to be a compatibility issue between the 2 sticks. You really should get matching sticks as some pcs are picky with unmatched ram.

Yeah going with a pair that had 2Rx8 and mixing with 1Rx8 sticks could be an issue.

As john has said, you should really get matching sticks of ram. Especially older PC's.

They probably don't have a timing table that has a least common denominator between them.

I'd just start again with a matching 2x8G set and ditch what you currently have.

If you wanted a cheap upgrade a 3770 or a variant of that SKU would be inexpensive.
