Quiet/Slow Down Fan?!?

Hello, my PC fan is really loud and i hate it! When i record videos for YouTube all i can hear is a Airplane taking off inside of my PC I'm not looking to open up my PC so if it would be possible is there a soft ware that can lower my fan noise/speed? If so, can you maybe link me a tutorial or an explanation on how to do it? Thanks.

Your fan is loud for a reason most likely. Open the case and make sure the fan isn't full of dust. What processor and fan are you using?

I don't know what kind of fan i'm using because it was custom built by a buddy of mine and the processor is intel core 2 quad cpu q6600

Well, you still need to open it up and verify its not full of dust. Download and install realtemp to check your cpu temp.

Okay, i found a cpu temperature checker on my system already so i just used to and i got these results: http://imgur.com/mWJmpiR

Temps look good. I would still check the fan and heatsink for dust. If it looks good, then you most likely have a high rpm fan installed. Speedfan may be able to lower the speed.

Is there any good tutorials out there for speed fan that actually work?
