If your router does not have an encyription on it people could be using your internet. What you need to do is go into the Linksys control panel and find out how to encrypt it and password protect it so you are the only one using your wireless router.

I do have encryption. Right now it is on WEP. But I heard it could be cracked. What would be the best way to secure my wireless internet? And is there I could find out even if I am using WEP?

Set it on WPA personal. Also, if you look under one of the tabs, I can't remember which one off the top of my head, you will see which MAC IPs are connected at the moment. If I was you I would set the router to block any that you don't have yourself, seeing as how they never change and no two network devices are alike. Program your MAC IPs into the router and block the rest of them. That's what I did, and now only my equipment will connect.
