What kind of courses in college would you have to take in order to become a compute software engineer? I heard it's computer science, is that true?

Yes.
You'll need to take several calculus and statistics classes, as well as a lot of CS classes.
For example,
File and Data Structures
Discrete Mathematics
Intro to Software Engineering
Analysis of Algorithms
Computer System Concepts
Compiler Construction
etc.
Class names will vary from school to school, those are just a couple I have taken/will be taking.

Every college has different classes required for the desired program you wish to complete. It is best to look around at the course sheets for your desired program.

so computer science, computer engineer, and computer software engineer are different but at the same time have a little of both worlds??????
Correct, with each one having a little bit more of different fields.
