Proxy Server - Sharing Connection

I have two computers that I use, 1 at work, 1 at home. The work computer is connected to a robust T3 connection and can download at over 1MB per second and upload at over 200kb per second. My home computer runs DSL and can barely download over 100kbs per second and upload around 20kb per second.

I know there is a way that I can use my work connection at home. Is what I need a proxy server? Do they work well and is it worth it. I would think it is since my work computer can upload faster than my home computer can download.

Let me know some solutions and opinions.

thanks in advance.

you can set up a proxy server on your work system, and then you could use this to connect to other destinations.

This however would still not make much difference to your connection, as you are still transferring data from your normal connection at home, to your work proxy and back at the same transfer rate.
