I have a PSU which has a +115V rail which powers a +115V fan. I just got a "new" +100V fan (aluminum body, baby
). I was just wondering what's the proper resistor to turn +115V to +100V 0.19A. When I calculated it I got the result (when using 115-100=15V)
15V/0.19A=78 Ohms.
But now what I need to know is what Watt rating should it be?
Which is the correct one or do you have your own suggestion since it was quite a while ago that I had to calculate resistance.
EDIT: I just used Riedon's resistance calculator and got the Watt rating of 2.85W.
