Problems With Belkin Router

Ever since I bought my Belkin router I have been expeiriencing troubles with internet on my PC and my xbox. On my PC the internet is slower and sometimes doesnt work at all. On my xbox sometimes I cannot sign into live or sometimes unexpectedly sign out. Same with MSN messenger, ever since I bought it, I unexpectedly sign out ALOT. Anyone know how to fix this?

I'd first get rid of the router and see how the computers work without it. Once you're sure it's the router, you might just want to get another. Belkin stuff isn't exactly the highest quality. Upgrading to something like a Linksys router would probably solve all your problem.

My dad has a Belkin router we got for $10. We used it as a switch for a while, but now it's just collecting dust

lol I knew I shouldnt have fallen for the sale, it was 30 bucks, I WAS going to buy Linxsus but I let the best buy guy talk me into buying junk

well yea, I disconnected the router, and everything is smoother now. So I guess the router is the problem, any suggestions for a new one...I am currently on a wired network but look to go wireless soon, any Linksys wireless routers that can also be used wired like this Belkin?
