Hi, I recently purchased a new HP Desktop and it says i have a tsst corp cd/dvdw ts-h552l. is that my burner or do i have to buy a dvd burner for it? i tried burning a cd and that works fine but burning a dvd wouldnt work, as it kept spitting my disc out, with an error. what gives?

well i just looked at my computer and the front says lightscribe dvd writer/cd writer and it has the cd drive but the expansion bay is empty. isnt that where my burner should be? i bought it at walmart. did i just get screwed?

m3incorp has a good question. If you're trying to burn DVD's using XP's built-in burning capability, you're SOL... XP only has native burning support for CD's, not DVD's. You'll need another program like Nero, Roxio, or even freeware like DeepBurner to burn DVD's.

i was trying to use my dvd plus from sonic. ok, i do have a dvd burner on my computer, but whats the program i need to buy? i want to download movies from the internet.

If you're going to illegally download movies for free, then that's not a subject for discussion on this forum.

He never said he was going to illegally download movies for free, he said he wants to download movies from the internet which is not illegal depending on how he does it.

You should get nero that will do everything you need!

Very true. It's just that I've seen so many ask this question in order to do it illegally that it's hard to differentiate who's doing it legal and who's not. So I made an ASS out of U and ME and assumed. Sorry 'bout that, chief.
Cell4me's right. Nero.
