problem with MR814 router!

hello,
i recently got the Netgear MR814v2 router. Although it worked fine at first, after a couple of weeks it started behaving in a really strange way. The connection suddenly dropped. I restarted my modem then the router, and it worked fine only to drop a few hours later. I did the same thing again but it keeps on droping after some minutes or hours. I really do not know what to do and I was wondering if it might be something with the configuration of the router...? Or do you think it is the router itself? I have tried reseting the router to its default settings and upgrading the firmware but it didnt help. When i reset the router and I reconfigured it running the wizard it detected the connection type correctly, i dont know if that helps.

Is the router on a firm surface? Or is it on a cloth surface like carpet or a blanket? There might be a problem with overheating. Try proping it up against the wall, or blowing a fan directly on it to see if it fixes it... Good luck
 
no actually it cannot be an overheating problem because i leave the router turned off all night and try again in the morning and the same thing happens
