Problem with cpu fan???

hello everybody,

I seriously got a problem with my compaq computer and i need some help on it.

This is what i did before the problem occur, i open up my desktop computer and unscrew the four screw from the cpu cooler then i lifted it up and open my cpu slot lifted up my intel cpu looked at it then put it all back. Then i plug it all in turn on my comp, and my cpu fan is running loud and constantly and its not showing any video display, i need help???

Are you sure you have the heatsink seated properly and securely on the motherboard?

yea i do, i even unscrew it back out den put it back in again properly and its doin the same thing.

my cpu fan is working but it is showing 0 RPMs in computer setup. is it a problem of motherboard or fan???
