Problem when playing DVD movies

Ok i have played so many dvd movies before with no problem. then a day ago or so i tried to play one. Windows media player played the sound but only a white box instead of the video. i then tried another player and the same thing happened which suggests its not a problem with wmp. then i tried a divx file and it played perfectly. so it looks like only dvd files. the only thing that is making me stuck is it used to work so how could it be a lack of codecs?

I got it and it worked however, i can only play individual files. i cannot click on menu icons on dvd's and it does not play different chapters. i really want to be able to fix wmp and i also tried roxio cine player which does the same as wmp.

I downloaded klite codec mega pack and it works now. dont know how it went wrong but looks like u 2 were right. thanx
