Problem reinstalling a pci sound card after bios update

I wanted to overclock my computer so I 1st updated the bios, then followed given instructions for my motherboard.
After that, the pci sound card (e-mu 1212m) was detected as new hardware and I'm not able to reinstall it properly. Even after finishing the installation successfully and it keeps showing with a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager.
I've set everything back to default in the bios, tried changing the pci slot and the problem remains. I have a code 10 : the device can't start.

What would be the reason for the failure : bios update or bad overclocking ?
And most importantly, can I get the sound card to work properly again ?

Thanks for your help

first try to update drivers and then also if its not coming then uninstall drivers> then delete inf file related to the driver> Then Restart> Install Updated Driver again
This will do for you.

I tried that already.

In fact I can install the drivers when Windows detects the card as new hardware but then it fails (code 10).
Otherwise whether I start the setup from the original CD or the exe from E-mu's website it tells me that no compatible hardware was found and it won't install the drivers.
Looks like hardware failure, doesn't it ?
