I have a wireless router located in the middle of our house and two of our computers work fine with it, picking up the signal. No problems.
Our third computer however is located in a room which was converted from a garage into a study so has breeze blocks and bricks making up the wall. This obviously causes problems receiving the wireless signal from this computer however and it's not possible for us to put the pc elsewhere.
I wanna know then if there's anything that can be done to improve the computer ability to pick up the signal as the router cannot be moved either. I was thinking that the antenna on the back of the PC connected to the wireless network card just screwed into the metal plate and was wondering if i could maybe screw something else into this like a wire or bigger antenna to pick up the signal closer to the router.
Anyone know anything like this available or any ideas how this can be rectified?
