Printer Error

Hi,

My Hp deskjet 980c has been running fine on the network until today.

Running on a windows 2003 using XP pro PC's

The printer status says "error"

I cant print a test page and any time i try to print it just sits in the cue then flags a can not print error message.

It will print a start up sheet if you power on and off the printer.

It is connected to the network by a separate serial to ethernet box.

HP Jet direct 300x

Have uninstalled from a PC and reinstalled printer and it is still found on the network.

Any ideas Guys :confused:

Connected the printer direct working fine.

IP address of the network pinged ok

Still has error under printed icon :confused:

**Error message has gone now, but when i put someting i.e a test page to print the error meaasge appears and a "This Document Failed to Print" Balloon appears,have to delete the printer cue to make it reset to "ready"**
