Power Surge on hub port

Out of no where this morning I had this error message pop up for me.
Having restarted my system a couple of times during the day, the error still pops up.

The error states the problem is in a USB port that I have nothing plugged in... It's named as 'unknown USB device'

This is really getting on my nerves now so what could be the problem ? I honestly haven't got a clue as I did not install any new software/driver today ?

I want to find out what the problem is rather than ignoring it, in case it might develop into a bigger problem

Most likely you have a usb port that has shorted out and you need to figure out which port and disconnect it from the motherboard if its a case usb port. This can cause other issues with your system so you should get this figured out ASAP.

The problem seems to have disappeared today. Been on it for a good 3 hours and had no error message of any sorts.

Very strange haha.
