Portable small printer

We live the winters in Spain and now we need a small travel printer. How do these little machines work (or do they work), inkless ?

Is it worth buying or are they just toys? The purpose of use is to do A4 black and white prints occasionally, text-only printing.

That printer specifies it uses thermal paper, so unless you're printing receipts or labels you're going to want something else.
